Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"A very traditional Hong Kong style restaurant. My first eating out meal at Melbourne . Good Dim Sum food for lunch. Better book a table before hand, rather busy in the afternoon."
"The food is delicious, authentic, well proportioned and great variety. I lived in Malaysai fro 20 years and have been seeking a yum cha that has what it takes for a couple of years now. . Wealth Kitchen is that place. Great Sui Mei and prawn dishes. Fully recommend"
"Overall the food isn’t too bad. The dessert is really good because it’s not overly sweet. Pretty friendly service. Ordered around 12 dishes and ended up costing $122 which I thought was a tad expensive for 2 adults and 2 kids. Probably because we were really hunger. Overall not bad. Edit: came again today and thought the service was exception. Had a massive meal with same amount of people as last time yet only $88 this time :)"
"A good alternative to have yum cha. I found the food to be great and service was standard. Loved the varieties that we had. The negative - you can not have a decent table conversation in this place over lunch as the place was deafeningly loud."
"Good old Cantonese style yum-cha with the good old Melbourne mix."
"Delicious yum cha restaurant. My favourite were the fried footballs. There are two savoury footballs to choose from. Taro with mince or glutinous rice with mince. Both are so tasty and you won’t regret choosing it. Crunchy on the outside and chewy/meaty on the inside. Various selection of dim sims/dumplings etc. were also nice. Favourite dessert is the egg tarts! You have to order more than one for sure! Perfect sweet eggy custard in the centre and flaky pastry on the outside, 10/10. You can’t order the dishes, so just be patient and wait for the trolley ladies to roll around to your table. Remember to ask for soy sauce and chilli sauce to take the dish to the next level! Price is on the expensive side but otherwise delicious. Lovely and friendly staff."
"Recommend : - Prawn Har Gau, Char Siu Rice Rolls, Siu Mai, Fried Prawn Dumpling, Deep Fried Silver Fish, Tofu Fa (dessert) Not Sure : - Turnip Cake, Steamed Chinese Broccoli, Stuffed Eggplant if you craving the traditional style cart yum cha, this place is the place. attentive staffs. the food is true to the authentic yum cha style. The prawn that they use is sweet and chunky. and I think the price is quite reasonable comparing this place to other yum cha place in Melbourne. We were charged $130 for 8 dishes. Definitely gonna be my new local yum cha place. Satisfied"
"Solid Yum cha by Melbourne standards. One of the better ones in the area. Very attentive and friendly staff. Execution of dishes was solid and environment was homely. Stick rice was the highlight. 10/10"
